Eduardo Gomez Escudero: Creative
Eduardo began his career as a Creative Designer, working with Walt Disney Imaginary in Burbank, CA. As team leader supervising 60 high school students, He developed and produced community murals for the city of Glendale. In 1996 he moved to Miami, FL to begin his career in the entertainment industry. He began by designing marketing materials to promote artists for major Latin music labels such as WEA, PolyGram, BMG and Sony Music to name a few. This experience, along with Eduardo’s entrepreneurial spirit, led Eduardo to identify the potential to use grass roots marketing to promote rock/pop in Spanish to the Hispanic market. As a result, he founded one of the first music clubs of its kind, Revolucion Musican en Español, promoting artists and producing concerts on the local scene for bands like Caifanes, Jaguares, Bacilos and Carlos Vives.
Eduardo saw the power of the Hispanic market and continued to pursue a career in advertising to this consumer. He quickly made a name for himself as an Art Director for LatinTrade Magazine he was responsible for designing covers and for other feature stories. To date he is the creator of the best selling cover in the history of the publication. His success in publishing world catapulted him into the agency world allowing him to work for some of the most credible agencies in the region, and eventually, in the world, that specialized in the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets such as FCB Latin America, Siboney USA, Hill-Holiday, McCann Erickson and Cheil Communications Korea. His experience includes work on many recognizable Fortune 500 accounts such as: Sony Latin America, Canon Latin America, Samsung, ViewSonic, Computer Associates, HP, Quaker, Cisco Systems, Lennar Home Builders, CocoWalk Shopping Center and Pro Player Stadium. By the age of 25 Eduardo opened a creative design boutique in Miami. He had a successful business servicing national and international clients like Samsung Latin America, DirecTV, Canon and BrightStar. He also developed award-winning campaigns in the areas of TV, radio, direct response, OOH and promotions. Eduardo develop a partnership with the Ethos Agency in Los Angeles that specialized in advertising to the U.S. Hispanic market. As EthosEGE he had success winning Norpac, a regional account in the food industry. |
Eduardo wanted to further expand his experience in the U.S. Hispanic market. He accepted a position as Creative Director for Ethnic Marketing Group for which he created campaigns for ConAgra Foods brands like Pam and Chef Boyardee, USG Sheetrock and Kerns Nectar. This led to an opportunity to work as Creative Director for MarketVision in San Antonio, for the Miller Lite account. Soon after Eduardo was invited to be a keynote speaker for the San Diego Advertising Club, a local San Diego agency, the AIM Agency, offered him the position of Creative Manager/Creative Director for Campbell’s, Sony and AAA.
Eduardo has worked as a consultant offering his knowledge of both the U.S Hispanic market and creative to advertising agencies and creative shops around the U.S. His most recent work is for SWIRE handling several cable systems such as Cox Communications, Comcast Cable and Bright House Cable. Eduardo moved back to Miami, in 2017. He ended his time as an Associate Creative Director for Zubi Advertising serving the California Ford Dealers Association developing creative campaigns for TV, Radio, Print and Digital. For almost 5 years he worked out of the Los Angeles office and most recently from the Coral Gables office. After Zubi, Eduardo work as a Sr. Creative for Shiraz Creative, working on digital campaigns for Absolut, Jameson, Visa and UBS. Currently Eduardo is working remotely as a freelance creative on Apple, Benihana, United Way, Heineken, British Petroleum, and more. Eduardo has 4 children. In all that he has achieved, he considers his kids his greatest accomplishment in life. “Always on time, on target and on budget!” |
